About Us:
Big John’s Janitorial Supplies, Inc. was founded in 1988 by John “Big John” Faughnan, his wife, Laurel, and his son, John, after they served many, many years in the Janitorial Service Industry. At first Big John’s Janitorial was a service and supply company that was run out of their home. Being located in beautiful and historic Dade City, Florida and the only local janitorial supply company, the supplies division quickly grew and soon they were looking for a small store front so that customers could pick up the items they needed. Once the supplies division was established, the service division closed.
In 1991 Big John’s Janitorial moved to a small store front that could handle the steady growth and customer pick up needs that they were experiencing. They also added an employee, Jim, to do delivery to customers in the surrounding Central Florida counties. Business continued to grow and increase and soon the small store front was too small. In 1993 they moved to a larger building and again added an employee, Michelle. They eventually purchased the larger building they moved into and now have a stocked warehouse and small showroom. “The purchase of the building has been a real blessing because we are able to hold cleaning seminars at our location and our customers are able to view our entire inventory. It is difficult to accurately represent who you are and what you have to offer when you have a limited amount of display space and time at a rented facility. Also, it is always nice to be able to see where your supplier is and what type of facility they have.” says Big John.
Business continues to grow and increase. We now have 7 employees including the original founders. We are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. We offer free delivery to the local area (Pasco, Hernando, Hillsborough, & Sumter Counties) two days a week and to the more distant counties (Polk, Lake, & Orange) one day a week.
We currently have over 2,000 items in stock, but have a total offering of over 7,000 items. We even offer office supplies. We truly are your one stop shop for all your janitorial cleaning, supply and office needs. If you don’t see it, just ask, it may be available!
